Separating Techniques

Substances that are not chemically bound to one another, i.e. in mixtures or solutions, can be separated from each other using various laboratory techniques. These processes can purify substances thus cleaning them up, extracting resources for example salt from seawater, or separate similar compounds for different uses such as obtaining petrol and diesel from crude oil.
