Reproduction

For life to thrive, it must reproduce itself, or it will end up extinct. Most organisms are genetically programmed to pass on their genetic information, whether by producing and dispersing seeds, or by birthing and raising offspring. Many organisms depend on the combination of two parent’s genetic information, i.e. the sperm and ovum in animals, or the pollen and ovule in plants. This promotes greater genetic diversity which supports the survival of a species.
