Body Systems
Tissues and organs working together for a specific function are called body systems. The digestive system is the set of organs tasked with extracting nutrients and energy from food. The circulatory system is a different set of organs that transports oxygen and glucose to every cell of the organism, and transports waste products out. Plants also have organ systems which transport water and nutrients to where they’re needed, hold it in the correct position for pollination, and produce seeds for reproduction.
